Ilkley Dynamo 2 Burton Leonard 3
DYNAMO were sunk by a last-minute goal in an eventful first game of the season.
Burton launched some early attacks and put a new-look Dynamo side under early pressure.
In the first quarter the visitors were 2-0 ahead as the home side struggled to find any cohesion before the break.
They battled hard but Shaun Crooke, the visitors' keeper, made some excellent saves, including a penalty.
However, some impressive midfield work from both Dom Grimes and Sam Westerman helped to ensure Dynamo hit back in a determined fashion.
Debutant Ben Claydon gave an outstanding performance. He made one incisive run which resulted in him pulling a goal back to make.
Despite Dynamo having a player dismissed they enjoyed the better of the game late on as the visitors became penned back in their own half.
Struan Connor, who produced some fine touch and control throughout, combined well with Rob Caddick before hitting the net with four minutes to go to make it 2-2.
The game was stopped as a visiting player was injured. After the re-start, Burton went straight down the pitch to snatch a 90th minute winner.
