Milford 3 Ilkley Dynamo 5 (aet)
A TRANSFORMATION in extra-time put Dynamo into the semi-final of the Wharfedale & District FA Sunday Cup after a chaotic match against Milford.
An assured finish by Struan Connor, his fifth goal of the season, put the visitors ahead early on but this advantage was quickly cancelled out when Milford equalised through a penalty.
Dynamo then had a player dismissed after he received two cautions and the momentum of the game suddenly changed once the visitors had been reduced to ten men.
However, an excellent contribution from centre forward Lee McGowan, whose ability and influence over the game was decisive, helped the battling Dynamo team to pull through.
The keeper, David Freer, soon emphasised his authority with some stunning saves before Milford gained the lead through Danny Robson to make it 2-1.
Both teams picked up further cautions before Dynamo stormed forward with only two minutes remaining for Henry Barrow to salvage a late equaliser.
Dynamo were transformed in extra-time as Danny Bryan first scored a penalty and then added a second when he weaved past two players to make it 4-2.
Both Sam Webster and Oli Mason helped with some late frenzied pressure before an own goal made it 5-2.
Milford eventually netted a third goal but Dynamo had sealed victory with a stirring performance in extra-time.
