ILKLEY have lined up two home friendlies to prepare for their third season in National Three North.
Oxford Harlequins will visit Stacks Field on August 5 and Blackburn will provide the opposition on August 19.
In between the fixtures Ilkley will stage a training weekend on August 12-13.
Their opening league game will be at home to Kendal on September 2.
Head of rugby Rhys Morgan said: “We have learned a lot during our first two seasons in National Three North.
“The competition is tough and I don’t see things getting any easier when you have sides like Harrogate and Preston Grasshoppers coming down and ambitious clubs like Kirkby Lonsdale coming up.”
Morgan has confirmed that centre Josh Hall has joined them from Cleckheaton and that they have an agreement with Yorkshire Carnegie to play talented young prop Billy Nicholson when the Headingley club are happy for him to get game experience.
