ILKLEY will look to pack as much power as they can into their side when they take on Hull at Stacks Field on Saturday.

The size and strength of the opposition’s forwards proved decisive when the clubs met on Humberside earlier this season.

Hull triumphed 46-21 back in September when Ilkley were still coming to terms with National League Three North.

Head of rugby Rhys Morgan said: “Hull blitzed us in the first half when we couldn’t get to grips with their big pack.

“We were still on a steep learning curve when we met them in September, and though we beat them in the Yorkshire Cup at Stacks Field in November, I am sure they were short of a few regulars that day.

“We have to be ready for another tough test and we will be looking closely in selection at the composition of our pack.”

Second row James Spencer is available again and in contention along with the experienced Ollie Renton.

There is one expected change in the front row where Josh Cockerham is unavailable. Ilkley have options but are most likely to switch dependable Jon Hutchinson to prop with Nico Nyemba coming in to the side from the replacements’ bench as hooker.

Following the postponement of last Saturday’s home game with Wirral, Ilkley are expected to retain the same back division with skipper Josh Kimber again at centre.

Ilkley have moved the kick off forward to 2pm so that players and spectators can watch the England v Wales clash on TV.
