MENSTON Crompark’s second XI have notched their first win of the season in Mewies Solicitors Craven League Division Four.
They declared on 190-8 at home to nine-man Bradley II, with the highlight being Ollie Holder’s 87 off 76 balls, including 14 fours.
Aiding him were Tim Yeardley (27) and Daniel Bidduplh (21), and the latter then took 3-35, Owen Pothecary bagging 3-42 as Bradley were dismissed for 166.
The win moved Crompark off the bottom, dumping Long Lee II there instead.
Crompark’s first XI were at Cowling II in Division Three, with the hosts making 197-8, the wickets being shared.
Crompark replied with 156, opener Satnam Thiara (43) adding 91 for the third wicket with Alistair Adams, whose 65 contained nine fours and two sixes.
Unfortunately for the visitors, only Tommy Molloy (13) also made double figures as they slipped from 151-5 to 156 all out in their mid-table clash.
