ILKLEY'S Golf Club hosted its first golf competition since the course reopened on March 29.
Fifty-nine ladies braved the heavy winds and bursts of snow fall in the first club competition since lockdown and were each rewarded with an Easter egg.
The Lady Captain, Kath Chivers and Lady President, Judith Wood-Robertson greeted the ladies outside the millennium hut at the end of the competition when they each received their well deserved egg.
The 11 hole ‘March’ competition was played in teams of three with the best one or two scores counting. The results were very close with the winning team with 35 points being Carol Briggs, Kate Spencer and Chris Kordowicz. Three teams each scored 34 points with Claire Fearnley, Annette Moss and Jo Wellock winning on the countback.
