OTLEY’S Lizzie Deignan is a hot favourite to land her fourth national women’s road race title.
The 28-year-old will be keen to regain the crown she lost to Hannah Barnes last year over the testing Isle of Man course.
Deignan will be hoping to repeat the kind of performance that swept her to victory in this year’s Women’s Tour de Yorkshire.
Hannah Barnes (Canyon – SRM) and her sister Alice Barnes (Drops) – who is the current under-23 champion will be two of the leading challengers to Deignan.
Olympic track gold medallist Dani King (Cylance Pro Cycling) and local favourite Anna Christian (Drops) are other expected to feature prominently.
