Tobyn Horton produced a great sprint finish to win the elite men's race at the Ilkley Town Centre Races tonight.

The Madison Genesis rider held off the challenges of Jack Pullar (BIKE Channel) and Robert Scott (Team Wiggins).

World junior cyclo cross champion Tom Pidcock came tenth in a race which was hit by rain with around ten laps to go.

The honours in the ladies race went to Annabel Simpson (Drops) with Alice Sharpe (NCC Group Kuota-Torelli) and Ava Oxley-Szilagy
(PH-Mas/Paul Milnes/Oldfield ERT) taking second and third. Baildon-based Sophie Thackray was fourth.

Talented you rider Sam Watson (Chevin Cycles) won the men's category 3/4 race. Sharing the podium with him were Dylan Westley and Julian Roche.

Watson was beaten into second place by Pedalsport Max Rushby in the Youth A race. His Chevin Cycles team-mate Joe Pidcock was third.

The Youh B race resulted in a victory for Max Poole (Bike Box Alan) from Finlay Pickering (Hull Thursday RC) and Julian Roche (All Terrain Cycles Ride in Peace)

The hot weather brought good crowds out to watch the action. Even a heavy shower couldn't dampen their enthusiasm
