Guiseley 0, Barnsley 0
GUISELEY'S second home friendly against Football League opposition in succession ended in a goalless draw but both sides got precious pre-season game time.
Sam Winnall had a good early chance for Lee Johnson's visiting Barnsley side and Lions keeper Steve Drench had to palm an Alfie Mawson shot over the bar soon after that.
The hosts, who were beaten 3-1 by Championship neighbours Huddersfield Town at the weekend, settled and Adam Boyes could have given them a lead midway through the first half.
Nicky Boshell fired an even better chance wide before substitutions were made by both sides and goalmouth action diminished.
Guiseley's next friendly is away to Brighouse Town on Saturday but their next visitors are Bradford City on Tuesday, July 21.
Thackley face their first friendly tomorrow night as they host Evo-Stik League Division One North outfit Scarborough Athletic.
Tonight's other warm-up games finished Brighouse Town 0, FC Halifax Town 5 and Liversedge 3, Howden Clough 0 (after a late switch of opposition).
