Ilkley will be looking to avenge their heaviest defeat of the season when they take on Wath-upon-Dearne at Stacks Field on Saturday.

The two teams currently lie second and third respectively in the Yorkshire One table, and Ilkley are determined to go into the Christmas break with their unbeaten home record intact.

Head of rugby Rhys Morgan hasn’t forgotten the 45-6 defeat his side suffered at Wath in the second game of the season.

“It was a dreadful afternoon, but we have learned a lot since then and we want to put in a winning performance for our spectators.”

Stand off Josh Kimber, who missed the 17-0 win at North Ribblesdale last week, is set to return and versatile back JH Johnson is fit again after a hamstring injury.

Morgan added: “We know it will be a tough game but we are ready for the challenge.”
