TOTALLY Locally Addingham, in partnership with Addingham Parish Council is hosting a day of sponsored Memory Walks around the village in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

There are three walks to choose from on the day - Sunday, September 17 - a short walk around the village suitable for all, including wheelchair users, a longer walk to Low Mill suitable for families and anyone pushing a buggy and a longer walk to Beamsley Beacon suitable for those who like more of a challenge.

Professor Rick Battarbee, who heads Addingham Environment Group said: "We in the Environment Group have designed the walks and provided the maps. They are not intended as Environment Walks but there is of course much of environmental interest along the way and the views back from the Beacon towards the village and across to the Moorside are superb."

Entry is £5 (children free) and adults taking part will receive a free t-shirt.
