PROMOTING Ilkley as a Fairtrade Town will be the focus of an International Women’s Day Celebration on March 5.
The event will be held at the Ilkley Bandstand in The Grove.
Guides, Fairtrade group members and Ilkley Soroptimists will be serving a Big Fairtrade Breakfast of hot chocolate, pancakes and bananas, as part of Fairtrade Fortnight across the UK.
There will also be a Fairtrade stall and entertainment between 10am and 2pm. The breakfast is free, but any donations will support a specific Fair Trade Project to help Kenyan women realise an independent income from coffee farming.
