LANDMARKS Ilkley Town Hall and Ilkley Library have been nominated for listing as recognised Assets of Community Value.
If approved by Keighley Area Committee on January 22, the status could give the buildings extra protection in the event that Bradford Council decides to sell them as part of cost-cutting measures.
Listing means the community has a six-week period in which to prepare bids for the land and property, should the landowner officially notify the council of its intention to sell.
