A group of year nine students at Ilkley Grammar School recently enjoyed the thrill of seeing their artwork displayed in the school grounds.
The group of artists, who started their work in year eight, used their iPads to capture images, simplify them, and then turn them into large vibrant artworks, which now they have completed in year nine.
The pictures are high impact and are currently on display in an area where key stage three students can view and enjoy them at break and lunchtime.
Head of art Louise Mortimer said: βItβs been a real achievement for the girls to finish this artwork to this high level. Using the iPads meant that they were able to draw and paint images and forms that otherwise they may have struggled with. A great marriage of technology meets artistry.β
