An Otley Scout group will be able to ‘go large’ on the decorations next Christmas thanks to a local supermarket.
Sainsbury’s Otley has donated the colourful adornments it had hanging over its shop floor throughout December to Otley Parish Scouts.
Store manager Paul Loughran said: “We’re delighted to donate these decorations to the Parish Scouts.
“We received great feedback from our customers about this year’s decorations and it’s great to ensure they have found a good home in the community.”
Kevin Bumby, one of the Parish Scouts leaders, added: “After our Christmas activities, we definitely needed some new decorations to lighten up the hall, and these new ones look fantastic.
“I would like to say a big thank-you to the team at Sainsbury’s Otley for this generous donation.
“We’ll certainly be putting them to good use.”
