Bradford Council is consulting on proposals to change the amount of financial support low- income households get with their Council Tax. The Government will replace Council Tax Benefit next year with Council Tax Support schemes, and each local authority will decide how much help it can provide. A reduction in Government support could leave the council with a £5 million shortfall. Pensioners will not be affected. Consultation forms online at bradford.gov.uk or at libraries.
