A multiple sclerosis sufferer has had his head shaved to raise cash for the hospice he attends.
Brendon Dennis coined in more than £500 through sponsorship for Manorlands.
The shave was carried out at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder Care hospice by Sandra Hudson, a Manorlands volunteer hairdresser.
Brendon, 40, of Moor Lane, Addingham, who has had MS for 14 years, attends the hospice for day therapy once a week and has been an in-patient there. His wife, Sam, has attended carers’ days.
He said: “I look forward to coming to day therapy every Monday. The atmosphere in Manorlands is so nice and homely and the nursing staff are tremendous.
“Raising this money is my way of saying thank you to everyone.”
Sharon Link, a Manorlands fundraiser, said: “Brendon is a lovely person to have around the hospice. He’s always happy and it’s great that Sue Ryder Care can help and support him and his family.
“The money raised will help us to continue caring for our patients and their families both here at the hospice and out in the community.”
