THE annual Wharfedale Ton is set to attract up to 300 cyclists from local businesses on June 28.

The ‘100 miles in one day ride’ routed across the Yorkshire countryside returns for its eight year, in aid of Marie Curie, starting from Ilkley Rugby Club

Organised by law firm partner at Yorkshire firm, Gordons LLP, Philip Paget, the event has raised nearly £80,000 since it launched in 2016.

Phil said: "It’s fantastic to see so many people from around Yorkshire getting on their bikes to take on the challenge for such a great cause. We’re also very grateful for the support provided by local businesses in the organisation of the event, as without them the Wharfedale Ton would not be as successful as it is.

"The Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospice provides a range of services for cancer sufferers and their families in Bradford and we are very happy to be able to support the hospice in this way."

The event is sponsored by Gordons LLP, Handelsbanken, RSM, Calder Conferences Ltd, Lishman’s the Butcher, Craven Jewellers, Reed Boardall, Becketts, Sagars, BDB, and Walker Crips.
