THE West Riding Masons will offer a free concert at Otley Masonic Hall on Saturday, April 20 to mark International Organists Day.
Music plays an important role in Masonic ceremonies and the fraternity has some very talented organists among its members.
Brian Littlejohn, one of the leading Freemasons in the West Riding provincial grouping, said: “On offer will be popular melodies of the day through to songs from the shows and classical recital tunes.
“We think that the International Organists Day provides the ideal platform to show off what our organists can do.
“Nothing like this has been attempted by West Riding Freemasons before and event organiser Terry Lambert has succeeded brilliantly in pulling together an impressive musical menu.
“The general public as well as Freemasons with their families and friends will be very welcome to enjoy the concerts. There’s no charge so why not come along, have a cuppa, and listen to some great organ music.”
Three organists will be playing at Westbourne House, Westbourne Close, Otley LS21 3LQ from 2pm until approximately 4pm.
