ILKLEY Manor House's first coffee morning talk of the year returns on Friday, Marc 22 March.

Local historian Alex Cockshott gives a fascinating insight into the history of the House, formerly known as 'The Old Castle'. Before Ilkley Manor House became a museum and art gallery in 1961, it was the home of many families for several centuries. How did the House look in those days? What changes can visitors still see in the architecture today? And why was it called the 'Castle'?

Find out the answers to these questions and more on Friday, 22 March. Tickets are £3 and available online via ilkleymanorhouse.org, or from the box office when the House opens on weekends. The talk starts at 10:30am, but arrive early to get a hot drink and a good seat. It will last roughly an hour, with time for questions at the end.
