Ilkley based LCF Law has been named as one of the best places to work in a prestigious guide that surveys the opinions of employees from hundreds of businesses operating in every industry sector across the UK.

The anonymous survey, which was completed by 87 per cent of LCF Law’s team, who work across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Ilkley, has seen the firm recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, powered by WorkL, list of medium sized companies.

Managing partner, Simon Stell, said: “These nationwide awards select the best places to work based solely on the results of an employee survey. Not only is the process incredibly insightful, but it’s also a great way of benchmarking our culture, our colleague engagement and how valued our team feel.”

The 26-question survey measures employee experience using six key drivers – reward and recognition, information sharing, empowerment, instilling pride, job satisfaction and wellbeing.

Simon added: “We know how important a firm’s culture and colleague engagement is to any business’s long-term success and have been working with our colleagues to create an environment where they are recognised, valued and feel proud to be a part of. We gained an ‘excellent’ rating in all six key drivers, scoring between 84% and 89%, and all areas scored between 15% and 18% higher than the industry average.

“This year we are actively recruiting 10 new people across all levels and these results will help to cement our position as an employer of choice in the Yorkshire legal market, as well as ensuring we attract and retain the most talented, high performing individuals.”

LCF Law’s results from The Sunday Times Best Places to Work show an 89% job satisfaction score, compared to an industry average of 71%, with the team feeling that they work in a well-run organisation, are continually developing, have a good relationship with their manager, enjoy their job and are treated with respect. Respondents also gave the firm an 84% score for reward and recognition, in response to questions about fair pay, happiness at work and recognition for success.

Simon added: “We also achieved an 89% ‘excellent’ rating for both confidence in our management team, as well as inclusion and diversity. We are delighted with these results and will keep working hard to continuing building on this impressive feedback.”

The firm scored 86% in the wellbeing category, where the industry average is below 70% and hit 88% in the instilling pride section, which outstrips the industry average by an impressive 18%.
