TWO men have been taken to hospital following a serious head-on crash near Pool-in-Wharfedale.
The incident involved two vans and happened on the A658 Harrogate Road between Huby and Pool, near the Riffa service station, at about 12.54pm on Monday, September 10.
The inured men were taken to Leeds General Infirmary - one via a Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the other by land ambulance - with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Local diversions have been put in place while the police investigate the scene, and to allow the vehicles to be recovered.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area until further notice.
Witnesses are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police by calling 101 and choosing option 1, to speak to the Force Control Room.
