A SUMMER fair is being held by St Oswald's Church in Guiseley this weekend.

The free event will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, June 10, at St Oswald's Primary School, The Green. Attractions will include stalls - from nail painting to plants - tombolas, raffles and afternoon teas.

Younger visitors will find plenty to do, from a disco dome to a special children's tombola. The event has been supported by local businesses who have donated raffle prizes and vouchers.

After the success of last year's bake-off, the fair organisers have a new competition - a photography class, An Aireborough Character. Also new this year is a flower arranging class. Local photographer, Darren Sanderson, will judge the photography classes, and Melanie Harvey, of Flowers by Karen in Guiseley, will judge entries in the Flower Arrangement in a Teapot. Both sections have adult and under 16 classes. Entries are £1, and can be brought to school on Saturday, June 10, between 11am and 12 noon. Entry forms will be available on the day, or can be downloaded from the church website www.guiseleywithesholt.org.uk.
