OTLEY Cycle Club has hailed the winner of its annual young cyclist award as a 'star of the future'.
Annie Chambers has been announced as the winner of the club's Harry Buckley Award, which recognises the child who has gained the most enjoyment from coming to cycling coaching.
The seven year old started receiving coaching just after having learnt to pedal but within a year has already progressed through three groups.
She also achieved a podium place at the this year's British Schools Cycling Association Circuit race.
Otley Cycle Club Coaching Co-ordinator Ben Peacock said: "This was well deserved and Annie is definitely a star of the future."
The award is made in memory of Otley boy Harry Buckley, who loved cycling.
Harry lost a two and half year battle with neuroblastoma cancer in April, 2014, aged six.
