PASSENGERS were given a special send off to mark Yorkshire Day at Leeds Bradford Airport.
Jet2 celebrated the day in style by handing out Yorkshire flags and Bradford-made Seabrook Crisps and by commissioning a celebratory performance by Otley Brass Band
A spokeswoman said: "August 1 is Yorkshire Day, and as a company that has a proud link with the county, we decided to celebrate this in style at Leeds Bradford Airport this morning.
"Passengers jetting away on their holidays with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays were given a proper Yorkshire Day send off with the Otley Brass Band playing classic Yorkshire tunes including a rousing rendition of 'On Ilkley Moor Baht’at'. This was accompanied by plenty of white rose flag waving to send passengers on their way with plenty of cheer."
