Pubs to be named after local heroes
OTLEY’S pubs could be temporarily renamed after local heroes to mark this year’s Yorkshire Day.
The scheme would see inns in the town being named after the likes of Dame Judi Dench or Geoffrey Boycott – who would seem a perfect fit for The Bowling Green – on August 1.
The Otley Pub Club is considering the idea after it was suggested by a member.
