OTLEY CAMERA CLUB:
Stephen Dean LRPS, who judged the Portrait Competition, was invited to explain the different qualifications available for photographers.
The results of the competition were, for the projected images: first – Andy Hoyle’s The Falconer; joint second – Julie Wilks and Andy Hoyle; third – David Ricketts. In the print section, Janet Gomersall’s picture, Poppy Rose, won first place. Mary Richards was second and joint third were Peter Sanderson and Mary Richards.
Stephen’s summing up of the strengths and weaknesses of our entries gave us plenty of material to help with future efforts. Tonight, instead of the scheduled workshop there is the opportunity to bring cameras to take portrait shots while experimenting with lighting set-ups.
If you are interested in photography you are welcome to visit the club, which meets at the Otley Town Partnership Rooms, Mercury Row, at 7.15pm on Thursdays. For details visit otleycameraclub.co.uk.
