Pinocchio the pantomime is coming to Ilkley… and it’s free!
All Saints Church in Ilkley, in association with Saltmine Theatre Company, is inviting all primary school children and their families to come and see the UK touring production of Pinocchio.
The award-winning theatre group will be telling the magical, time-honoured tale of Pinocchio, a small wooden puppet created by his father, Geppeto, that comes to life and gets up to lots of mischief and mayhem. It’s a festive story filled with magic, fun and a father’s unconditional love, set in the backdrop and magnificent ambience of All Saints Parish Church.
The Rev Patrick Bateman, vicar of All Saints, said: “We’d like to think of it as a gift for the community, where children and families alike can come and share in a really special Christmas event together and observe a father’s unconditional love for his son. And maybe even make a subtle connection to another similar and special relationship, who ‘nose’?”
There are two performances at 3pm and 5pm on Saturday, December 7. To book a seat contact Judith Osbourne on 0784 0810734.
