Government minister Francis Maude met with local residents in Aireborough when he visited Rawdon and Guiseley Conservative Club.
Mr Maude, Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, was welcomed by Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew.
The event, also attended by Councillors Dawn Collins, Andrew Carter, Graham Latty and Paul Wadsworth, was held so that the minister could meet people in the Pudsey constituency.
Mr Andrew, who is Parliamentary Private Secretary to Francis Maude, said: “I was delighted to welcome Francis Maude to Rawdon and introduce him to constituents, supporters and local councillors alike.
“The get-together was very well attended and people from the local community highlighted their concerns about things that are fundamental to our area such as protecting our green spaces and how to improve our heavily-congested roads.”
