Articulate Public Speaking and Drama (Ilkley and Baildon) is looking for children aged five to 16 who enjoy either speech or drama, or both, to enter an Ilkley competition on Friday, July 12.

Stacey Burrows said: “I am the principal at Articulate Public Speaking and Drama (Ilkley and Baildon) and I am holding the speech and drama competition for Articulate students. However, I would like to invite other students in the area to enter, who perhaps enjoyed the Wharfedale Festival, or have a keen interest in performing.”

Prizes range from book vouchers for under 11s and cash prizes for over 11s.

The panel consists of a criminal barrister, a TV actress (who has held lead roles in Casualty and Waterloo Road) and one other guest. The competition will be held at a venue in Ilkley at 7pm.

Categories are: ages five-11 speech; ages 11-16 speech and ages 11-16 drama. To enter e-mail information @articulatepublicspeaking. co.uk.
