People are being asked to help Leeds City Council save £40 million next year.
Launched last month, the YouChoose challenge has already seen more than 1,000 people take on the simulated role of Leeds City Council budget-setter for the financial year 2013-14. Those taking part have to hit the target of a £40 million saving while continuing to provide essential services.
The challenge is free for anyone to try by going to leeds.gov.uk/you choose – and it aims to find out what residents feel are priorities Paper versions of the challenge are available at any council-managed library or one-stop centre in the city.
