Shoppers in Ilkley have been stopping dead in their tracks this week to admire the haunting Hallowe’en display at Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms in Ilkley.

As well as a cauldron of tasty treats to mark the spooky season, including marzipan pumpkins, white chocolate ganache ghosts, owl brownie cupcakes and, new to the range this year, lebkuchen and marzipan black cats, the main window in The Grove has been suitably dressed with broomsticks, scary spiders and all other manner of creepy creations.

More autumnal favour-ites stocked at the Ilkley shop include parkin and treacle tarts, all of which are selling like, well, hot cakes!

Michelle Attwood, assis-tant retail manager at Bettys, said: “Hallowe’en-themed products are brilliant and are selling really well.”
