Michelle Keegan’s first film role is not exactly full of Hollywood glamour.
It will see the former Coronation Street star on location in Salford, playing a nerdy student who gets intimate with a homeless man.
Strangeways Here We Come is about Michelle’s character being accused of murdering a loan shark, and co-star and producer Stephen Lord told FUBAR Radio that he had been impressed with her talents.
According to the Daily Mirror, he said: “Michelle was fantastic – as was everybody in it. Everyone was chosen on the merit of them bringing what they can to the party.
“Michelle’s absolutely lovely – she’s got a great part and she does brilliantly. She’s going from strength to strength. She’s just got the lead in BBC army drama Our Girl, she’s doing well.”
Our Girl has also starred another soap actress, EastEnders’ Lacey Turner, who took a break from her role as Stacey Branning to film it.
