BAY City Rollers frontman Les McKeown comes to Ilkley this month with a new show featuring his own band, Les McKeown’s Legendary Bay City Rollers.

The original line up of the 70s supergroup announced that they would never play again after their Christmas dates but Les just can’t stop the music and is looking forward to performing to his faithful fans around the country once again.

Les said: “Performing live is like a drug to me. I just can’t stop. I will always cherish the days of playing with my old band mates in the Bay City Rollers but the music lives on and as long as I’m fit, I’ll keep playing them. My fans have been so loyal to me over the years – through thick and thin you might say. This tour is my chance to thank them and to give them a great night out where they can let their hair down and enjoy a bit of nostalgia.”

This tour will also see Les pay a personal tribute to some of his fellow rock stars and music legends that he was proud to have been able to call friends. Fans can expect to hear Les perform hits from musical icons such as David Bowie, Marc Bolan and Freddie Mercury.

Les will also be performing the classic hits that fans have come to know and love such as Shang a Lang, Bye Bye Baby and Saturday Night.

The tour visits the King's Hall, Ilkley on September 15 at 7.30pm. Call 01274 432000 or visit bradford-theatres.co.uk
