SEPTEMBER rolls into view with a duo of returning classics from September 1, including Dunkirk and The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature.

But fear not dear patrons, for we also have two film adaptations from very different novels to whet your cinematic appetites.

Stephen King is undoubtedly one of the biggest living icons in the literary world today. His ability to pen unexpected twists and turns and downright chill you to the bone is quite simply phenomenal.

Our humble cinema invites you into King’s dark fantasy world of The Dark Tower this week, a continuation of the legendary series of the same name.

Idris Elba brings to life The Last Gunslinger, who is on a quest to protect a mythical structure that protects all realities: the eponymous Dark Tower. But of course, there is no good without evil, no dark without light, and The Gunslinger must fight in an ultimate battle against The Man in Black, who vows to bring the world to ruin by destroying the tower.

And in a little twist to proceedings, we have the romantic drama adapted from Nicola Yoon’s young adult novel Everything, Everything.

Eighteen-year-old Maddy suffers from a rare disease that literally means that if she takes one step out of her front door, it could kill her. Confined to her clean, sanitised home, she only has her mother and nurse for companionship, and she longs to see the world for all its beauty, particularly the ocean.

Her dreams of a normal life seem so far out of reach, until Olly moves in next door. Gazing through windows and talking via text, a deep bond forms that leads them to risk everything to be together, even if it means losing everything.

And more excitingly, we have a Baby and Me screening of Everything, Everything on Tuesday, September 5 at 10:45am.

So spoil yourselves dear parents and enjoy a coffee with this wonderful film, you deserve it.
