A LADIES' choir is looking for new sopranos and contraltos to join weekly singing sessions and take part in local concerts.

Menston-based choir Ladies Please’ currently has 24 members and sings on a weekly basis at the Fairfax Club, Main Street, Menston, on Thursdays at 7.30 pm for just under two hours.

The choir perform concerts by request and is currently taking bookings for 2015. It makes no charge for performance, although the choir does request a small fee for its accompanist’s travel expenses.

An ability to read music is not essential, but helpful, and no auditions are held.

Since its formation in 2005 Ladies Please has raised more than £10,000 since our for a wide variety of charities both local and national, and also sings for weddings and private engagements.

There are currently vacancies for two sopranos and two contraltos.The choir sings music of a wide variety, including musical theatre, Latin American and other popular classics.
