WIBSEY have booked a second round Yorkshire Vase tie at old league rivals Ossett on Saturday, November 10 after defeating fellow Yorkshire Division Four North West team Halifax 32-20 at Ovenden Park.
Player/head coach Andy Robinson went over for a try, and he was also on hand to kick three conversions and two penalties.
Other tries for the visitors came from full back Isaac Khan, debutant centre Robson Moore and winger Harris Craven-Moore.
The hosts put up more of a fight than when they visited The Villagers on the opening day of the league season, a game they eventually lost 57-0.
