Ben Rhydding 2nds 1 Halifax 0
GOALKEEPER Will Rutter produced a stunning display as Ben Rhydding extended their unbeaten run to six games in the Yorkshire Men's Division One.
He made a staggering 18 saves to help his side record their fourth clean sheet during a run that has seen them take 16 points out of a possible 18.
It means they now occupy a comfortable mid-table position ahead of their final game away to York 3rds on Saturday.
Having lost 8-1 earlier in the season to promotion-pushing Halifax, this was sweet revenge.
Rhydding knew this would be a difficult game as Halifax are quick upfront and press hard.
The midfield trio of Will Bradley, Aaron Terry and Tom Burton kept possession well and distributed between the forward and defensive lines superbly.
Josh Till had a great game at centre-back alongside Rob Westwood.
Continuous pressure from Rhydding created numerous chances that were ever so nearly finished.
Matt Sykes and Joe Westwood had excellent games upfront and held up play until support arrived.
The only goal came in the 64th minute when Andrew Lorimer passed to Bradley at the top of the D for Billy Hagan to bundle the ball over the line.
