MEMBERS of Ilkley Harriers took part in the Shepherds Skyline race on Saturday. Organised by Todmorden Harriers this fell race takes in the landmark of Stoodley Pike. Eleven Harriers were among the 362 who finished the race which was won for a tenth time by Ian Holmes of Bingley Harriers.
Ilkley placings and times were: 1, 42.31 Ian Holmes; 19, 49.15 Chris Gale; 42, 51.08 Dave Wilby; 97, 56.49 Paul O’Looney; 101, 57.04 Duncan Cooper; 104, 57.08 Bob Hamilton; 105, 57.09 Ian Rowbotham; 116, 57.38 Kevin Gooch; 241, 66.30 Val Kerr; 245, 66.57 Michael Waterhouse; 295, 70.38 Sarah Fuller; 359, 90.00 Sharon Fuller.
In the Three Tops Fell Race on Sunday in the North Yorks Moors National Park five Ilkley Harriers competed in what was an AM category race, a qualifier for next years Three Peaks Race.
Ilkley placings and times were: 86, 102:58 Andy Wilson; 89, 103:42 Nigel Tapper; 91, 104:30 Keith Wood; 96, 107:05 Sue Bickerdike; 99, 113:26 Ian Hunter.
