ILKLEY Town Ladies were crowned West Riding County Women's Football League (Division One) champions on Sunday afternoon after they thrashed Hall Green United 7-1 on the road.
The result means Town will play in the Premier Division next season, which represents the highest level of football that the women's team will have played at in their history.
It's been a terrific campaign for Claire Armstrong's side and they thoroughly deserve their spot in the Premier Division next season, having won 16 out of a possible 18 league fixtures, whilst having only two defeats to their name.
