LAST weekend, while all the games at Ben Rhydding were called off due to snow, the two First Teams played away.
The Women travelled to Stourport on the back of three consecutive victories but were up against the league leaders and it was always going to be a tough task. Stourport scored early on and found a second as the full-time whistle was closing in to give hosts a 2-0 victory.
The Men had a fixture at Timperley to contest with, who sit second in the league and are vying for promotion. As in previous games, Ben Rhydding scored early but were unable to extend their lead on the back of a dominant opening period.
However, Timperley scored before the half time break. Three quick fire goals essentially put the game to bed for Timperley in the second half, and they cruised on to a 5-2 victory, with McMillan and Musgrave striking for Ben Rhydding.
This weekend both teams are away again - the Women at Durham and the Men at Didsbury.
