AS the relegation battle approaches what will be a dramatic finale, Ilkley Town will be looking to secure NWCFL football for next season when they host AFC Blackpool this Saturday, writes Evan Seaman.

With four teams, Atherton, Darwen, Ashton and Ilkley all separated by goal difference, there is all to play for still in the final game of the season, as two will be relegated and the other two will survive the drop.

The Baht’atters' advantage ahead of the other teams is that their goal difference is significantly better than the rest should it come down to that, so a win this weekend will be enough to secure their safety.

Going forward, Ilkley will undoubtedly be looking to Kevin Gonzalez for inspiration as he has scored 24 goals in 28 games.

The visitors will be looking to consolidate their place in the playoffs as they push for promotion to the ninth tier of the football pyramid.

AFC Blackpool are in decent form, winning three, drawing once and losing twice out of their last six games.
