BEN RHYDDING'S first team endured a nightmare situation on Saturday after arriving in Durham, only to find out their game had been cancelled.
The pitch had been declared unsafe due to high winds and the game was inevitably called off, with the tie set to be rescheduled for a later date.
This weekend sees the men's side feature in two crucial games. On Saturday they host Harrogate at 2.30pm in what is usually a competitive local derby.
Then on Sunday the men entertain Lindum (2:30 PM). With just one promotion place up for grabs this season it looks like being between Ben Rhydding (40 points from 14 games) and Lindum (32 points from 12 games), though there are a couple of other teams still waiting for a slip-up from these two leading sides.
After their mid-season break, the Ladies First team are back in action on Saturday - away to Brooklands, Manchester.
