ILKLEY continued their rough patch by losing 3-0 away at Cleator Moor Celtic on Saturday.

The result condemned Town to their fourth defeat on the bounce, with the departure of Simon Armstrong perhaps leaving them in a sticky situation as the Christmas period looms.

The hosts raced into a 2-0 half-time lead, before Jordan Little wrapped up the game late into the second half.

Ilkley's poor run of form has seen them slip to 18th in the league standings, and they are now four points adrift of safety.

A turn in fortunes is needed for the West Yorkshire side, and they have a huge opportunity to turn things around when they face off with Ashton Town on Saturday at home. Ashton are propped just above the relegation zone and a victory for Ilkley would be crucial in deciding their short term future.
