ILKLEY Town had to battle from behind on three occasions to earn a hard fought 3-3 draw at Campion on Tuesday evening.

Avoiding defeat will have been no doubt on Ilkley’s' minds before the fixture, with Campion only a few places behind them in the lower half of the league table.

But Ilkley made the worst possible start, conceding from a set-piece situation after only a few minutes.

Ilkley soon levelled, when goal machine Kevin Gonzalez delicately chipped over the keeper following a through ball from Aaron Davis.

The hosts restored their lead just before the interval, when Luke Rhodes finished into the top corner from close range, but there was still time for one more twist before the break. The Baht’atters levelled the scoring, with Aaron Davis calmly finishing a Tom Smith corner. Campion struck again but Gonzalez levelled at the death.
