ILKLEY Town Women secured their first victory of the campaign, defeating Leeds City FC Ladies 8-3 at home on Sunday.
Town were able to show their qualities throughout, especially in attack- where they produced some breathtaking moments.
From the get go, the hosts were able to stamp their authority on proceedings and at half-time, they were 4-2 up.
The game was far from done, but Town's quality shone through in the second half and they were able to pull away from Leeds and cruise to an 8-3 victory.
Shareen Munir scored a hat-trick for Ilkley, while Eva Curran scored a brace, then Georgia Jennings, Summer Pickles and Katy Ranyard all struck one each.
The victory has moved Ilkley up to ninth in the league standings, one place above their opposition in Leeds.
Town return to action this Sunday, when they face Skipton Town AFC Ladies away from home in a 2:00 PM KO.
