OTLEY Cricket Club may have had their 200th anniversary celebrations last year stymied by the pandemic, but they are hoping that one of their blue-riband events can make up for it.

They will host the MCC in a 45-overs-per-side contest on Friday, May 21 (11am).

As lockdown restrictions should have been further eased by then, the home side are hoping for a good crowd, and will be serving refreshments both liquid and solid.

Otley will be fielding what is essentially a first XI, but will include some fringe players and long-serving members.

The MCC are due to be captained by former Otley skipper Ben Morley, who is now at Rawdon.
