ONE of Guiseley's best exports in recent years has been handed a new contract by a Sky Bet League Two club.

Aaron Martin, who bagged an amazing 17 goals in his 23 appearances for the Nethermoor outfit last season, will now be staying at Harrogate Town until 2023.

He joined the North Yorkshire team in March and has since stared at Wembley in the National League playoff final and scored six goals in 41 games.

Martin made his name in the lower leagues before earning a move to the Lions in 2019 thanks to grabbing 30 goals and 11 assists for Brighouse Town.

Less than a year later, the 29-year-old's goalscoring efforts in the National League North provided Guiseley with a five-figure sum.

The forward has been a key part in Harrogate's debut EFL season.

His performances for the 12-placed team led to a nomination for League Two Player of the Month in September and winning the Football League World's League Two Player of the Month award for January.
