GUISELEY have confirmed that defender Will Thornton has left the club and signed for Scarborough Athletic.
Thornton departs Nethermoor for an undisclosed fee after graduating through the academy in the 2016/17 season, with his debut coming away at Boreham Wood.
The centre back spent most of last season out on loan at Gainsborough Trinity, after recovering from a broken jaw sustained in a pre-season defeat away at Hyde United.
After seven seasons at Guiseley, Thornton has opted for a new challenge at Scarborough Athletic, who are in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
He joins former Lion Lloyd Allinson, who signed for the Seadogs last month.
The club said in a statement: "We’d like to thank Will for his loyal service over the past seven seasons and wish him the best of luck, not only at Scarborough, but for his future football career too."
