IN response to the challenges created by Covid-19, and to assist with the ‘return to football’ approach, the West Riding FA have discounted all club, league and competition membership fees by 100 per cent for next season.
For the 2020-21 season, the £60 fee for clubs at steps one to six of the non-league pyramid, like Bradford (Park Avenue), Thackley and Eccleshill United, has been waived, while clubs at step seven, like Ilkley Town, will not be charged the usual £40.
Open age adult clubs (Under-19+) will see their fee discounted from £35 to nothing, while youth clubs (U7-U18) will not have to pay their usual £15 fee.
The individual team fee of £5 for all of those categories will not apply for next season either.
The standard fee for entering West Riding competitions of £35 has also been reduced to nothing for next season.
The West Riding FA have said they will continue to lobby on behalf of members to achieve whole scale cost reductions across the game, including kit and equipment, first aid and facility costs.
